Spray Metallizing

Our Sulzer Metco thermal spray system can repair worn and damaged areas on metal surfaces such as shafts. It is particularly effective at repairing worn bearing fits, and sealing surfaces which are routinely worn in service.

Our metallizing system uses metals in the form of powders

Base metals need only minimal preparation before metallizing

The Powder is melted in oxy-fuel combustion and propelled at high velocity onto the work piece.

The built up coating can machined to size.

Parts do not suffer heat distortion usually associated with other welding process.

Most parts that are worn, pitted or corroded can be restored to original size.
